Release Info:

Part 2 of the Five Corners Quintet remix series comes with hot club versions of tracks taken from the album "Chasin` The Jazz" produced by JORI HULKKONEN, MITSU THE BEATS and TUOMAS KALLIO (Five Corners Quintet, Nu Spirit Helsinki). Feat. Mark Murphy.

On the first part we had Don Nicola Conte and the Danish greats Povo remixing the mighty FCQ with a jazzy twist and now it`s time to move on the more electronic side of things and see what such well-known names as Jori Hulkkonen, DJ Mitsu the Beats and Tuomas Kallio have been cooking in their studios.

All three tracks appeared originally in the Five Corners Quintet`s debut album "Chasin` the Jazz Gone by" that was initially published in 2005. Jori Hulkkonen, an acclaimed producer, composer and DJ has re-invented the Mark Murphy`s track "Before We Say Goodbye" and under Jori`s treatment the result with the "leading male voice of jazz" is definitely closer to Depeche Mode than old Ernie Wilkins` arrangements. Jori started his career in the early 90s and has been recording to F-Communication label since 1998. He has been collaborating with such names as Jose Gonzales and Tiga.

The other two tracks are remixed by Japanese DJ/producer DJ Mitsu the Beats who puts his "chic house" touch on "Lighthouse" and Tuomas Kallio, the man behind the Five Corners Quintet and Nuspirit Helsinki who remixes the FCQ`s signature tune "Trading Eights" and transforms this modern dance floor jazz classic into a punkass disco.
